Peace, Prosperity and Abundance

What more than these can we ask of life? Don't we want to have it all? So why do we fail?

Many of my colleagues seem to think our failure to live abundant lives (in all respects) has to do with a subconscious mentality of lack -- we think we don't have enough, so we don't get enough. Perhaps they're right. But I think there's somethng more insidious at play here.

The biggest reason we don't get them is we never set the intention of having it all. And then believing with every ounce of our being that we will get it. Somewhere along the line we think it's wrong to have it all, that because there are so many who live without that we must, too. At least to some extent.

Don't feel guilty about what God brings you. And don't feel guilty about wanting more. Because he wants you to have it. But you'll never get it all until you truly believe and know with every fiber that He will provide it to you.

Yeah, this sounds kinda touchy feeling, and maybe even religious. But then, the Christianity I was taught says God gives it to us on the one hand, and then plants the seed of doubt. Like it's easier to get a camel through the eye of a needle than a rich man into heaven.

It is your doubt that holds you back. Will you tell me I'm wrong? Now, how can you expect God to fulfill your intention when you're telling him that you don't think he will? Which one is He to follow? Your doubt becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Try it. Vanquish doubt in your life, and breathe life into your intention. Not on the steps to make it real. Just the intention itself. Know what you want, and know that it is. Not will be. Is. Because when you know it is, there is no room to doubt.

Let me know what happens.

Are you addicted?

Why do we profess to want one thing, and then drive it away?

We say we want love, yet we refuse God's love or even to love ourselves. We say we want happiness, but we focus only on the things that make us miserable. We say we want life's riches, but we think money is the root of all evil rather than God's gift to create the lives we want to live.

I'll tell you why. Because we're addicted to suffering. Plain and simple, we just can't get enough of it, and constantly test our ability to get more. And since misery loves company, we spread it around to others.

So don't give me this bull about wanting a better life. Because I think you like it just the way it is. After all, you made that bed.

Of course, you can unmake it. Or better yet, roll over to the other side where the sheets are clean and waiting to wrap you in your dreams.

Until then, enjoy your nightmare.
